TRAIL RIDES OFFERED

Standard trail:
For experienced riders or beginners we offer 11/2-4 hours of riding in the Bottelary hills.
(1 hours:R 180 per person ; 2 hours: R300 per person ;3 hours: R400 per person)

Sunrise ride:
Come for a stunning sunrise ride from 6am-8am and enjoy a light breakfast on the farm afterwards.
(R 400 per person with breakfast included.)

Sunset ride:
Watch the sun set on the mountains and sea after a late afternoon horse trail.
(1 hours:R 180 per person ; 2 hours: R300 per person ;3 hours: R400 per person)

Wine-tasting tour:
Experience the winelands riding over severl wine farms and , wine-tasting at local fams and snacks in between. This can alos include a cellar tour at one of the wine farms.
(One winetasting: R450 per person ; Two wine tastings: R550 per person)

Moonlight ride:
This is the most romantic ride with 2 hours of riding in the full moon! Those interested in a midnight feast can have a moonlight picnic on the farm afterwards.

Picnic ride:
This is the ideal way to spend half a day, with hours riding and a full picnic on the farm or on a picninc spot somewhere in the fynbos!
(3 hours:R400 per person 4 hours: R500 per person)

Three day trips:
For experienced riders we offer a two or three day package.You explore the whole area as Each day we ride a different route to a different winefarm and you enjoy winetasting and a lunch there.
(R600 per person per day)

Horse riding lessons:
On request we offer individual horse riding lessons in which we teach persons natural horsemanship and riding skills. In lessons we emphasis co-operation and harmony between horse and rider by trying to teach riders to be conscious horse men.

DIRECTIONS TO DWARS-IN-DIE-WEG FARM , DEVON VALLEY STELLENBOSCH

Directions from N2 at Exit 33: turn right onto the R310 drive straight on towards Stellenbosch past De Wijn Lande, Annandale road and Spier. At the T junction and set of traffic lights turn right into Adam Tas road (R304) and drive towards Stellenbosch. Drive past Asara Wine Estate and take the 2nd next road to the left to Devon valley ( T12), drive straight on for another 3 km, then turn left into Dwars in die Weg farm, turn left again when the road forks.

Directions from Stellenbosch: Drive out of Stellenbosch with Adam Tas road (R310), turn right when road forks passing Stellenbosch station on right. Turn right with road at next set of traffic lights, continue straight with road and over next set of traffic lights at Distell, drive 0.5 km on and turn right at next road (T12/Devon valley road) driving towards Devon valley. Drive 3 km straight on and then turn left into Dwars in die weg farm, when the dirt road forks turn left again.

Directions from Somerset West: Take the R44 going towards Stellenbosch; pass over three sets of traffic lights. At fourth set of traffic lights turn left into Dorp Street, at T-junction and Traffic lights, turn left again into Adam TAS Road (R310). Continue to drive straight with the road and over next traffic lights at Distell. Then drive another 0.5 km on and turn right at next road (T12/Devon valley road) driving towards Devon valley. Drive 3 km straight on and then turn left into Dwars in die weg farm, when the dirt road forks turn left again.

Directions from N1: At Exit 39 take the R304 driving towards Stellenbosch. Continue straight passing the M23 continuing to drive straight until the R44 is reached, turn right into the R44. Continue driving straight over two sets of traffic lights, stay right when the roads forks in two. At next set of traffic lights turn right into Adam Tas road (R310) passing Stellenbosch station on right. At the next set of traffic lights Turn right with road, continue to drive straight with road and over next traffic lights at Distell. Then drive another 0.5 km on and turn right at next road (T12/Devon valley road) driving towards Devon valley. Drive 3 km straight on and then turn left into Dwars in die weg farm, when the dirt road forks turn left again.
